I immediately agreed, and BT (British Telecom) arranged special leave for all of us. There, I met Doug Peris for the first time. He was a great role model for me and, after all these years, the kind of friend anyone could wish for. Doug organized everything back then together with Tabitha, a local aid organization, and he infected us all with his joy of charity. We continued this way, every year. And every year, our friends, families, colleagues, and business partners supported us so that we could even raise all the necessary donations.      <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-831\" src=\"https:\/\/hands4cambodia.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/PB060182_s-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-829\" src=\"https:\/\/hands4cambodia.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/PB060181_s-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\"><\/p>\n<p>We met incredibly grateful people and were able to achieve so much with modest donations. So we simply continued helping in Cambodia. <\/p>\n<p>Tabitha employees and local helpers have returned to their families during the coronavirus pandemic.
